My Approach

A Shepherd, Not an Attack Dog

Plenty of attorneys tell you that they want to fight for you. I want to help you avoid fights. Preparing for life’s challenges ahead of time helps minimize conflict when bad things happen. Let’s work together to make your life easier.

Being Rational, Not Emotional

Many people put off legal matters because of the emotions attached to them. My goal is to help you recognize the legal implications of emotional decision-making.

Simple Wills, Estates, & Trusts

If you are a middle-class person who needs a will and related documents, I can help you understand what you need and prepare your paperwork. For many families, a living trust is a better way to plan your estate. We can talk about your options at your consultation.

Services

Oh No, My Kid is 18!

When our kids turn 18, it is suddenly impossible to help them with parent things. That’s unfortunate, since experts say their brains aren’t fully developed till 25. I can help you with documents that will let you interact with their medical providers and school officials, giving you peace of mind.

Financial Planning for Parents

If your family can afford it, having a stay-at-home parent is great. I was primarily a stay-at-home parent (SAHP) for 19 years. But the SAHP is financially vulnerable. Protect yourself, your spouse, and your kids by doing post-nuptial planning for the SAHM or SAHD.

FAQ

  • Contact me with what kind of services you need. I will send out a client information form and schedule a consultation.

  • Everyone fears legal fees. I strive to provide affordable legal services for clients. I offer free 30 minute consultations. Prices start at $450 for a will package, $250 for paperwork for an adult child, and $450 for stay at home parent paperwork.

  • I value your time. I will send out a client information form for you before our consultation. If you fill it out completely, the consultation time depends on your questions. Once we know what you want, give me about a week to get things complete for you. Most paperwork will require notaries and/or witnesses. We will schedule a time for you and all other signers to come into my office and properly execute the documents. That should take about 30 minutes.
